This month we are excited to partner with Quills Coffee from Louisville, KY, a barista founded roaster that has been growing in the Kentucky area since they were founded in 2007. Quills frequently visits their producers all across the world not only to gauge the quality of crop but also to verify the sustainability and ethical practices of the farms they collaborate with.

Quills founder Nathan Quillo’s journey with coffee started when he would use local coffee shops as meetings spots. Many of the meetings he found himself explaining the art of coffee and eventually took that passion to become a barista and later owner of Quills Coffee. That same sense of sharing and community continues through Quills mission. They aim to have each location bring a sense of inclusion and community for both customers and employees.

In addition to all of this the Quills team continues to focus on quality coffee that is accessible to all, working with producers to improve quality year and year while keeping on the cutting edge of roasting practices and education.
