This month we are working with Cartel Coffee from Tempe, AZ. They were founded around the idea of building community through coffee, thus the name “Cartel,” meaning a group of people working together for a common cause. 

Their business started after a trip to Guatemala. Even today when sourcing coffees it is very important for them to be able to visit and build relationships with their farmers. Their three pillars for sourcing are: traceability, quality, and sustainability.

While growing their brand into multiple states, Cartel still continues to focus on community. They partner with local events such as art galleries and even car meetups while continuing to invest in their own workers to continue to spread good through coffee.
