Over the last few years Brothers Coffee has had the wonderful opportunity to work with many roasters that have found new and unique ways to make the world a better place. It can be tough to lead our blog posts with something new about our selected roasters that we have never featured before!

Not the case with Copper Door. Copper Door is the first roaster we have worked with that is 100% female owned and the only Denver-area roaster that can claim this!

In addition to being female owned, Copper Door works hard to import coffee from female owned cooperatives, with about 50% off their coffee coming from these farms. While at the moment Copper Door works through reputable importers, they have started planning trips and building connections to begin direct trading soon.

Copper Door loves finding new local non-profits to work with. They often have days where 10% of their sales go to a selected cause. They host classes on cupping, roasting and more to help build community. This summer they partnered with Period Kit Denver to supply vital period products to women in the area living in poverty.
