1000 Faces Coffee

Roasters

Our latest roaster is 1000 Faces Coffee from Athens, Georgia, our second selected roaster from Georgia. We’ve enjoyed the conversations we’ve had with them over the past month and can’t wait to share their delicious coffee with our subscribers.

1000 Faces was born out of a fascination in the intersection systems and ecology by founder Benjamin Myers. In 2006 they bought their first Diedrich roaster and a load of coffee from Ecuador and began their journey into coffee. From here, their adventure was one of experimenting in different coffees, journeys to source, and gaining business experience. As their website puts it:

1000 Faces has matured greatly over the past twelve years and its professionalism and service are a testament to that growth. Still, the business remains a seeker on a heroic journey, forever on a quest, searching for the great coffee boon to help restore place, people, and product to state of delicious well-being.

From the beginning, 1000 Faces has been about the coffee producers and connecting their customers to producers in a meaningful way. They are very careful when purchasing coffee and constantly take trips to source to meet the producers and learn about the farms. Too often, farmers and roasters alike are misinformed by importers. 1000 Faces is sure to know exactly how much money is passed on to the farmers and market value so they can ensure quality of life for them.
