La Cosecha Coffee Roasters

Roasters

La Cosecha is a small roaster in Maplewood, MO (just outside St. Louis) that we are very happy we stumbled upon. They started roasting using a popcorn maker at home and have expanded to running their own espresso bar. But unlike many small roasters, La Cosecha put a huge priority on their producers. Building the relationships needed for direct trade partnerships takes a large effort, but La Cosecha has been up to the task. Where they are unable to find direct trade partnerships, they are careful when selecting their importers, ensuring their producers are well taken care of.

La Cosecha Coffee Roasters is a family & your neighbor. We strive to connect with our community & the farmers by serving everyone. Coffee is important to us, but relationships are paramount. We’re dedicated to connecting people together by offering fresh-roasted coffee grown in a sustainable manner where the farmer is given a fair price.

As many of you know, our criteria when selecting roasters doesn’t only involve quality of coffee and how they treat their producers, but also their investments within their own local community. Like us, La Cosecha believes these things go hand-in-hand, as you can see from their mission statement above. One of the reasons they started their espresso bar was to build a community around their passion. La Cosecha is constantly looking for partnerships with local non-profits and areas of their community where they can make the biggest impact.

We’ve loved working with and learning more about La Cosecha roasters and know you all will love their coffee as much as we do!
