Common Room Roasters
Roasters
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Common Room Roasters now call Long Beach, California its home. In 2017 the founders decided they didn’t think the coffee scene in Southern California was quite up to their standards coming from Melbourne. So they decided to change that. Common Room is named after the room in some schools were students can hang out and build community outside of class. Their vision for their roastery was not just to make excellent coffee but to use coffee as a tool to build community. In building that community, Common Room frequently partners with local artists, athletes, influencers and more to bring people together and encourage a positive culture in their local community.
A number of our customers this month will be recieving a blend called the Brunswick. This coffee is named after a suburb in the greater Melbourne known for being on the forefront of coffee culture in the area. Like all Common Room coffees, this coffee is sourced from small farms and cooperatives. Common Room frequently travels to meet with their farmers and see the import process as a way to make the world a better place.
Common Room is a wholesale-first roaster. If you’re at many hip places in Southern California, you will have come across their coffees; Sidecar Doughnuts, Venice Beach’s Gjusta, The Cellar, and many more. They love partnering with likeminded people and companies.
