Sightglass Coffee

Roasters

This month we yet again return to sample coffee from San Francisco’s coffee scene. Sightglass coffee started 2009 with a rickety coffee cart in San Francisco’s SoMa district. They served coffee with some Chemex brewers and a used espresso machine and were surprised when people kept returning for more. Now they have cafes in both San Francisco and Los Angeles, with companies selling their beans wearing it as a badge of honor, and fans making pilgrimages from all over to try their coffee.

Sightglass HQ

So why is Sightglass coffee so good? Like with all the roasters we work with, the way they make coffee starts at the source. They make the trek out to their coffee producers to see first-hand the coffee that they are buying, how it is grown, how it is processed, and see how they can better invest in their farmers and their communities.

Sightglass’ values don’t just start and stop with coffee. They work their way through how the entire company operates.

Ultimately, we aim to deliver the highest quality achievable in all aspects of our business, whether that be sourcing the most beautiful and wondrous coffees attainable or employing the most mindful and quality-focused practices possible.

In addition to investing in their producers, Sightglass works to better their own community. They donate coffee, support local causes, and invest in their workers. We’re proud to be able to send Sightglass coffee out to our subscribers.
